Savatage Biography

Savatage was a heavy metal/progressive metal band founded by interpretation brothers Jon Oliva and Criss Oliva in , previously labelled Avatar. The band is rest for recording many rock operas. Early on, Savatage was top-hole traditional heavy metal band, who stood out from the ram due to guitarist Criss Oliva's uncommonly heavy riffing and singer Jon Oliva's unique vocal stylings.


Following the failure of Fight Pick up The Rock, an attempt journey commercialize their sound, Savatage began moving in a more operatic direction, releasing a number scope rock opera albums in cooperation with producer Paul O'Neill.


After ethics tragic death of Criss Oliva in , the band soldiered on to continued critical acclamation but diminishing commercial success.
