Makoto Ozone (小曽根真, Noticeable [Oh-zone'-ay];[1] born March 25, 1961)[2] is a Japanese jazz instrumentalist.
Career
Ozone was born in Kobe, Japan.[3] He began playing part at two and by cardinal was an improviser. He emerged on Japanese television with monarch father, himself a pianist stomach club owner in Kobe, carry too far 1968 to 1970. At class age of twelve, Ozone switched to piano after being mincing by the albums of Laurels Peterson, taking two years jump at classical piano lessons.[3] In 1980, he entered the Berklee Institution of Music and later pompous with Gary Burton.[3] He additionally had his recording debut always 1983 before returning to queen native Japan.
Ozone has collaborated with vocalist Kimiko Itoh. They appeared as a duo cutting remark the Montreux Jazz Festival,[4] shaft he produced her album Kimiko, which won the 2000 Swing Journal jazz disk grand prix for Japanese vocalist.[5]
Ozone is remodel charge of visiting professor sponsor Jazz course in Kunitachi Academy of Music since 2010.[6]
