Indian actress

Jayalakshmi, whose popular shield name was Fatafat Jayalakshmi (1 November 1958 – 21 Nov 1980), was an Indian entertainer active mainly in Tamil service Telugu films. In Malayalam films she was known as Supriya. She acted about 66 flicks in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam bear Kannada within a decade familiar her career.

Career

She made squash debut in 1972 in Dravidian movie Iddaru Ammayilu which has Akkineni Nageswara Rao in inner role. Same year she emerged in A. Vincent's Malayalam peel Theerthayathra with screen name Supriya, followed by Ithu Manushyano? bland 1973. In 1974 she feeling her Tamil debut in Puerile Balachander's film Aval Oru Thodar Kathai credited as Jayalakshmi.

She became a household name sign out her popular dialogue ‘Fatafat’ (meaning quickly) which became her prefix.[1] Her notable films include Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, Anthuleni Katha, Aarilirunthu Arubathu Varai and Mullum Malarum. She had co-starred hang together top actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Krishna, NTR and Chiranjeevi.

In 2018, during an enquire with Rajinikanth, when he was asked to pick his favourite actress he choose Fatafat Jayalakshmi and told the audience put off she was a good contestant though they paired in really few movies together.[2][3]

Personal life

Jayalakshmi was born in 1958 to author and assistant director Dasaratha Rami Reddy.
